The Great Miss O

So along with Miss O's Speech Therapy it was decided amongst Myself, her teacher and her therapist that she have a vision screening done at her next well child.

So we went to that last Thursday the 24th and she got a 20/30 on her eye exam. Which her Ped said was fine for her age but due to the squinting for everything and the fact that pretty much everyone in her family on both sides has to wear glasses he thought she should be seen by a optomologist.

So that was our mission this morning. We headed over to Dr Alto's office for her eye exam. I was so nervous because she has a tendacy to freak out some when Doctors come near her.

But she did really well. Dr Alto said she has 20/20 not 20/30 and there is nothing to indicate that she will need glasses at this point and time. She will be seen in a year to make sure all is well and her vision hasnt changed. He said that with the family history of needing glasses { which i need to schedule my appt. I know I know procrastinator.} Its even more important for her to be seen every year to make sure she wont need glasses or if she does to get her started.

Let me tell you taking Miss O and Mr A into a Doctors office with a bunch of gadgets and what nots is not my idea of a fun time...lol Mr A couldnt help but try to touch the buttons thats what i get for thinking i could let him out of the stroller.

I had a absent minded mommy moment...lol thats what not getting good sleep will do to you! I havent been sleeping well at all the last 2 nights. With the Costrocondritis acting up again it makes for very long nights of tossing and turning.

That and the fact that i am reading a new Vamp book Thirst By Christopher Pike. Its a little slow yet intriguing and facinating at the same time. But then again you know me i will read pretty much anything...lol

So now we are getting down to the wire with moving. Basically all that is left in this place is our couches, beds, dressers, Clothes, TV and some pots pans and dishes and food. All the basic things we need to get through the week :)

3 days left and we make the 45 minute drive up north and move it all back into a new place. A new begining that will allow us breathing room in the financial dept.

We dont live beyond our means but it really was not a wise decision to pay the rent we do now... It allowed no room for anything else. and Now we will have room for other things and can focus on paying off all our debt and getting further in life :)

So thats what we are up to. I have to get Mr Deputy up he has a court supena for this afternoon. Poor guy, has to go to court this afternoon and still has to work his 12.. yea LACK of sleep.

Mr A's- 3year check-up

So This Morning was Mr A's 3 year check up. I took him with no shoes on when we left because as some of you know my son he refuses to take his shoes off anywhere other than home....lol

So i just put him in his stroller and i put light clothes on him that were easy to get off and on. Just to make what i knew would be a difficult appt alittle easier on me.

So we were called back and the first thing was weighing him.. yea he did not like standing on that scale. Yet he will weight himself at home all the time...LOL Then it was measuring him. I had to bribe him with Candy for him to stand straight up and wait a second for her to do it. Even though when we got hom i didnt give him candy i gave him a gummy vitamin...hahah Evil mommy.. :P

So we got in the room and she wanted to check him BP and he didnt even fight it. it was totally interested in the machine asking the nurse all kinds of questions.  SCORE.

Now it was wait time. He had to wait in his little undies for the Dr. He fought me at getting naked but not too hard. While we waited he played with the little toys in the room and "read" the books..lol

We actually had a rather long wait today. Which is odd for our Pediatrician. Usually he is in the room right away. Guess it was a busy morning.

So anyway he examained him and said he looks really good and his talking is excellent he is forming sentences that are larger than the milestone he should be at. He asked how Potty Training was going.. its going....lol

He checked his little Peanut ( thats how Mr A says Penis..lol) and Mr A was like Dont touch my Peanut...LOL good boy A!!! thats right no one touches your peanut!

Then we just talked alittle about his eating habits which Mr A doesnt eat but One meal a day adn then he just snacks. So he told me to try to have him snack on fruits and veggies.... YEA my kid HATES veggies unless i sneak them into stuff. He said go ahead and do that for right now just to get some nutrition. But he said Not to do it too long and to keep offering him Veggies on his plate. Eventually he will taste them.

Miss O's- 5 year Check Up

Miss O's Waiting to see the DoctorSo this Morning

Miss O had her 5 year well child check up. I thought she was going to be a huge pain like she normally is whenever the Dr comes near her. But she wasnt. She gave a little resistance when the nurse wanted her to get in the "gown" with just her panties on...LOL

She looked at me hella nervous like mom this doesnt seem right. She got a 20/30 on her vision which the Dr said was fine for her age but the fact that she squints when she is in class or watching TV or when she is at a distance trying to look at something he said she should have a Optomologist look at her.

Which is fine by me. I would rather have preventative measures done instead of waiting and there end up being a problem. We also talked about the Flu vaccines both reg flu and H1N1... I told him my thoughts on the H1N1 and that i was still alittle worried about giving it to the kids since there hasnt been a whole lot of research with it all etc. He urged me to at least get the Reg flu shot this year for all members of the house.

Im still debating, Last year i got it for O and A and C and all 3 of them ended up with the flu so i dont know. I still have a month to decide on the Flu vaccine and till November on the H1N1. ok Now its time for Stats.

Birth:

Weight- 6lbs 14oz

Height- 18.5 inches (1ft 6.5 inches)

Now at 5 years 1 month:

Weight: 35lbs 11oz

Height: 41 inches ( 3ft 5 inches)

she is growing good and the Dr is Happy with the progress she has made speech wise since July. So it was a GREAT check up!

Now A is Tomorrow!

It Rolls On......

So As Miss O is getting over her Pink Eye adventure i thought we were in the clear. I was doing my hardest attempt to keep Miss O santized and not spreading the eye sickys. Yea Well Yesterday Miss C was sent home with Pink Eyes YEP not Eye but EYES.

GREAT. so now i have to run to the pharmacy and get her drops as well. I couldnt figure out how it happened. Ive been keeping Miss O seperated.. Then it hit me.... They were taking their baths together :( So that means they shared a wash cloth. Which means it spread. Thank goodness Mr A hasnt been taking baths with them etc.

Ive been wiping down everything with clorox wips and putting what seems like gallons of Hand Sanitizer on everyone. Hopefully it will end with Miss C.

Now for my health, I am on the verge of getting really sick AGAIN. ugh. This morning i loaded up on Vit C. I cannot afford to get sick again 9 days before our move. Its just not going to work. Ive been pushing myself to stay up and move around. I know if i laydown The sickness is going to move in full force and that is not something i can allow.

Mr Deputy is at training today. Which means he had yesterday off. Oh wait no he didnt because one of his court supenas when through...lol THATS odd. usually all his cases plead out. but not this time...

Yesterday I had a wonderful friend ( who really is more family ) come over and help me out. And by help me out i mean she waited until i left to get Miss C from School and she Cleaned my kitchen and bathroom...... My payment to her Hopefully isnt her or her kids getting the Pink eye.

It was great spending time with her. It was much needed and had been way too long. Although after we move I am sure we will go back to spending ALOT of time together since i will be 5 minutes from her house! :P So Ms E I love you to death and you are the most wonderful fantastic fabulous friend EVER.

Reading expands the mind

I am a bookworm, always have been but more so as a adult. I just cant seem to do enough reading. I love it. Mr Deputy asked me the other day why I never seem to take a break from reading. I have taken a break. I went on a long 2 month break where i didnt even touch a book. Then i picked Twilight up for fun and got hooked and started reading everything i can get my hands on.

For me i function better when i am reading, it expands my mind and keeps me sharp. Its kinda hard to explain but i feel like when I am not reading my brain goes mushy. Im sure someone out there understands what I mean...lol Reading also relaxes me. I read every night before bed to relax myself so i am able to fall asleep faster.

This evening i am going to sit down and create a book wishlist on amazon so that way i can atleast start buying my books and building my library for cheaper. Borders and Barnes and Noble are 2 places i have officially be banned from...LOL

My oldest daughter Miss C is also a bookworm. She has been since she could pick up a book and flip the pages. Miss O seems to take after her dad and not care much for extra reading. Only reading whats needed for homework each week. I dont know if that because she has a hard time with everything or if its just in her nature to not be a reader.

Mr A however is following in Miss C's footsteps and loves books. although they have to be about planes trains and automobiles for him to like them He is showing the same signs as Miss C did at his age :)

I really believe that without reading our minds wouldnt expand. Even if your reading easy books, Its all helping your brain stay strong and grow.

Jawbreaker- Rough Night-Missing him

My favorite candy in the whole world. Got one lastnight when we were in oldtown. But thats not really what my post is about.

Tonight while I was doing my normal stuff i do while Mr Deputy is at work. Mr Deputy was dealing with something different.

I sent him a text to tell him that taking the carseat out of th evan and carrying it up the stairs. { Not a baby seat the CAR seat} Was tough work He text me back

Deputy F was in a serious car accident tonight with patrol car. Atleast one dead we think, I am still at accident scene.

Deputy F is at hospital hurt pretty badly Mr Deputy sent me a couple picture texts of the Patrol car. Yea pretty much totalled. Deputy F is lucky to be alive. He is expected to live. Though I dont know how badly his injuries are. One person in the other car died. dont know anything else really.

I know that Mr Deputy is having a hard time with this. Its bringing flash backs of Deputy D { his partner that was shot and killed last June }s death.  I feel so bad for him, I know that this is a cops life and they have to learn to cope but I also know that its hard to swallow and seem fine to everyone else.

So while Mr Deputy is dealing with this a Call for a attempted murder has the rest of the dept busy. Is there something in the air tonight. Hug your LEO's a little closer when they get home. I know its going to be a emotional morning for us over here.

Friday Nights

We normally spend at home doing absolutely NOTHING but tonight i refused to settle for anything inside the house. So After Miss C was done at Sylvan this evening we packed up Miss C Miss O and Mr A and Headed to Old town.

We decided to hit our yearly trip to Joes Crab Shack and get some good ol' grub of crab buckets! Yumm Yumm Yumm. Although this is the first time taking the kids there. Well The girls rather Mr A went with us last year on my birthday.

So the wait wasnt long this time only about 20 minutes. BEST TIME to hit the shack is right between 5:45pm and 6:15pm before it gets crowded. We had a lovely female server that instantly took to cute Mr A. Although Mr A was too shy to respond to her. For the kids we went with safe Items, Mac and Cheese for the girls Miss C had fries with hers and Miss O had apple sauce { odd balls I know } Mr A had Pizza with a side of Fries. I wasnt going to waste money on letting them have their own crab incase they didnt like it. They both looked at me in disgust when our crab buckets came to the table...LOL Mr Deputy got the Hot Fire Grilled Dungoness crab with Sausage and Shrimp. I on the other hand went with my favorite King Crab Garlic Herb steamed. Yummmmy goodness.

The Kids got their food first and were treated to the first show of the night. Mr A loves the disco multi colored lights that go on when the servers are going to stop and start dancing around to whatever song the DJ plays. Miss C and Miss O didnt know what to think with all these adults dancing around like fools. But they soon started getting into it and dancing in their seats. While Mr Deputy and I finished our crab grub Miss C and Miss O and Mr A danced next to our table entertaining the people around us.

The Second Dance performed by the servers the kids loved even more, towards the end of our meal Our server came back and continued to interact with Mr A. At the end is when Mr A warmed up to her and gave her a hug and proceeded to lay his little hands on her boobs. YES thats right people my son has a boob addiction...LOL She hugged him and twirled him around and let him go give another table a check with her. HE LOVED IT.. awww his first crush on a older attractive woman. :)

Most Parents know how touchy service can be when dinning out with children. You either get a really great server that loves kids and trys to interact with them or you get the snobby stuck up ones that dont even give the kids the time of day and act like Parents should never eat out with children in tow. Mr Deputy, who happens to be the cheapest man alive when it comes to tipping servers. OMG i usually go behind him and leave a tip if i have cash on me, because he certainly wont. Unless its one of his regular spots while on duty and he knows the girls and/or guys working there, anyway he agreed with me when i was settling the bill that SHE deserved a Tip for trying the whole time we were there to get Mr A to interact with her and suceeded towards the end of our meal. Although i am guessing that he would shit a brick if he knew i gave her a $15 tip...lol I gave her a little more than a 20% tip on our bill.

I mean when you get someone that gives such attentive service, why not show them you appreciate it. And I know just how much Servers rely on their tips to get them by. I remember those days at applebees hoping I got a good amount of tips at the end of the night. especially when part of them had to be pooled together with other servers to be spread out amongst that nights Host and hostess and bus persons. All in All Going to Joes was fantabulous!

After we were done and out of Joe's We decided to walk around Oldtown and go into the Candy store for a little treat. Oh my I treated myself to a nice huge Jawbreaker. You know the ones that take a good couple of weeks to dent :P The kids got suckers and I got some Salt water taffy. Not wanting to go home yet and in my effort of trying to tire out the children we walked around oldtown for alittle longer. I was a tad sad to see so many of the little shops closing because of lack of business. Pretty much everyone goes to oldtown now for the dining experiences more than shopping.

So after walking "ghost"ville lol we headed home. Thats when our night went down hill. I was planning on flaking off on packing more and moving stuff to storage and dragging one of my closest friends and her children to the beach.. Yea thats not happening. Now instead i will get up in the morning and take Miss O to Kiaser why you ask?

She has Pink Eye

Sombrero Baby

Mr Deputy has this Sombrero that his grandma gave to him when he was a boy. He has always kept them in the top of our bedroom closet. He use to wear it as a child.

Since we are moving, things are thrown all around the house. Mr A decided tonight to entertain me and Put daddys old hat on. He is soo cute. Sorry for the crappy photo i cant find my camera bag in the mess of boxes, clothes and tape. So cell phone it is :)

He is such a little ham. I wanted to share. I also wanted to brag a little about how well he is talking these days. He is soo polite as well saying Please and Thank you and Welcome. My favorite part of the day is putting him to bed and not because he has finally driven me nuts and its a blessing at the end of the day but because of how he goes to bed.

I take him in and put him in his pjs and he climbs onto the bed and i say goodnight Mr A and he says Night mommy and then he goes I luv you and  i say i love you too thank you and he say u welcome. Totally makes everything bad or stressful that has built up during the day just melt away. he gets his hug and kiss and watches his movie until he is asleep.

Well except tonight. Tonight he slept until 6pm and will now be up all night. Mr Deputy is sleeping right now and for the next 2 hours most likely then i will wake him and go to sleep. I have to be over by the new place at 9am to get our storage unit. because we have just accumulated way too much stuff to fit in the new place.... Plus while Mr Deputy is at work i can be putting the storage bound stuff in its place. Then all that will be left is the stuff for the apartment :) easy peasy......

now if time would just go faster.

Ticking down the time

So we are basically doing the whole wait thing now. Packing a little each day, getting further towards the goal line. Tomorrow i am getting our storage unit by the new place so i can start taking car loads over that will not be going into the new place. Im sitting here waiting old episodes of Greys Anatomy. One week till the new ones start!! WOOT.

I feel like time is running in super slow motion right now. I guess thats how its going to remain until the day of the move. Which John will be doing pretty much by himself. I am stuck down here with the girls while they attend their last day of school and Miss C goes to Sylvan in the afternoon.

Starting the 5th, Miss C will be going to Sylvan her normal days Mon, Weds, Fri but instead of 2 hours it will be 4 hours a day so it makes it worth it to drive all the way back down  here. Then after that month she will be done. having sucessfully completed her 88 hours of tutoring. Then we all will have a new begining at new schools in a new neighborhood.

Migraines

I have suffered from Migraines my entire life. They started around 10 or 11 years old after a day cleaning up the American River. I was going back to the truck with my mom and brother when i just fainted and had a seizer. No warning at all Ive never had one before, I remember the months that followed i went through so much testing and yet nothiing ever came of it. Ive never had one since either.

But the migraines started after that. I was told not to eat certain foods that trigger the migraines; Hot dogs, soda, sharp cheddar cheese, other things No processed foods, anything with Nitrates in them. Yea so pretty much taking everything away that i loved. Of course i didnt listen, still dont. Back then i would have a migraine once every couple months. It wasnt until recently { after Mr A's birth } that i started getting them once a month and now after my hysterectomy I am getting them 2-3 times a month.

I can usually just deal with them by taking a Motrin or 4 { 200mg } and laying in a dark room or on the couch if Mr Deputy isnt home and I have to supervise the children.  Lately though They have been lasting a day or two each time. Today is pretty bad, My head feels like its going to explode and i am so sick to my stomach, all light and sound are bothering me add that to the fact that i cant seem to keep the living room cool so the heat isnt helping at all.

The Motrin has dulled the pain and I have drank a pepsi { now i have heartburn } so its helped a tiny amount. atleast i am able to sit up and watch a little TV and blog. Today is Mr Deputys Friday and he is at a Car Crash where 4 kids were ejected from teh vehicle but all are alive. 2 with minor injuries and 2 have major injuries. Its going to be a LONG night for him.

If you read my other post today we got the apartment so now we have 17 days to pack this house and get a move on it..haha get it move...lol My Migraine made it to where I didnt accomplish anything today.. oh well Over the last 2 days ive done alot to put a huge dent in packing....

Now its almost time for Sons of Anarchy... Wooooot Jaxs baby Jaxs

Well the Verdict is in

Swimmers Ear, Shots Fired and A whole Lotta Nothing

So Miss C has been complaining about a ear ache all day, so i kept her home from school and let her rest. This afternoon i called to get her a appt. Anyway we did a phone consult with the on call doctor and he basically diagnosed her with Swimmers Ear; She had this too back in december. Too much water is getting into her ears causing this so now she is on 7 days of drops and she cannot get ANY water in her ears. I have to plug her ears up when washing her hair. Yea ok hard task he suggested wrapping a cotton ball in plastic wrap on one end and inserting it into her ear so it creates a block from water. We will try it tomorrow and see.

Miss O is doing wonderfully in speech. Her words are getting longer and clearer. Even her teacher is noticing a improvement. I am happy that she is doing well although I am scared at the thought of her degressing if we move and she changes schools. But thats the risk i am just going to have to take.

So this evening I called Mr Deputy because i wanted to see if he had given a member of admin for the dept the phone number to the new place we are trying to get so that way it will speed up the progress on us finding out sooner.  I sent him a text with no answer and he called me back here is our conversation:

Me: Hey, whats up?

Him: Sorry I am not in a position to text you back right now, but yes i gave her the number.

Me: Ok whats going on?

Him: I am rolling code 3 ( code 3- driving like in Fast and the Furious racing...lol ) to a shots fired call and someone is screaming Just let her die, Just let her die.

Me: Oh well becare and dont die. I love you Text or call me when your cleared.

So Mr Deputy works County which is long stretches of NO WHERE LAND. Fields fields and more fields...lol So i reach out on Facebook for some thoughts and prayers because i know i am just going to be a worry wart until i hear from him. I dont want to get that Visit from his department.

So maybe at the most 20 or 30 minutes pass and he calls. Phew Safe and sound.

Me: So how did the call go?

Him: Oh it was just some hunters

Me: and the Let her die part

Him: Yea i dont know where that came from just was in call details....

Me: Okay then..stupid. Im glad your ok

I really hate County work. Then again i suppose if he worked City I would hate that too and want him to do County...LOL I know he can never win :)

The Mommy that could

So I stayed up WAY too late last night...LOL what else is new. But i think i knocked out a lot of work. I packed about 10 boxes did 7 loads of laundry sorted clothes and put them in donation pile,. keep piles. Managed to get a nice sized box of Mr A's old clothes for a friends little boy. All before crashing out. hehe

Miss O is off to school and I am starting laundry. Have to get the clothes clean and sorted into appropriate piles ya know: Mr Deputy & I, Miss C, Miss O and Mr A.  I want to wash all the Blankets etc that are in the laundry room before packing them up in the box. Why take dirty things to the new place. The waiting is bugging me. I plan on calling him Thursday in the afternoon if i havent heard from him. He seems like the type to get things done right away unlike the old management here. She took almost 2 weeks to submit stuff and get back to us. While this guy submitted our credit stuff yesterday and said the waiting part is when hearing back from Mr Deputy's Department on his employment verification and Getting the rental history from our current manager.

Lets hope that the Manager and Mr Deputys dept get back to them in a timely manner.

So I am the mommy that can this morning; turning my house into a chaotic mess of boxes, clothes, toys and kitchen appliances. I need to get my hands on some newspaper so i can pack up all my china. Im still trying to find a kitchen table but Mr Deputy wants me to wait until we are in the new place. No sense in bringing it here. It will stay in the box so just wait to pick one up after we moved in. Makes sense i guess.

Im super excited at the possibility of moving to CH. Being where we are now I am so secluded from my friends because they are all up there and its such a drive to participate in stuff with them. But now I will be within a 15 minute radias of ALL of them. :)

Ok off to do more packing..... Mr Deputy was impressed by what i accomplished... haha just wait till he does most of the moving ;p

Packing and Waiting

So today we put the application and stuff in for the new apartment in CH. Now its just a waiting game to find out if we got it. The guy said we should know Wednesday or Thursday for sure. So this afternoon i have just been sorting clothes to give the old ones away and packing up things that we dont use on a regular basis and trying to sort out what will go in my MIL's garage and what will go to the new house and what will go in storage. Like my beautiful front loading washer and dryer... yea storage bound :( Im going to miss it...

So now its just packing packing packing... I got about 25-30 boxes i can fill sitting colapsed in my living room...LOL Packed up the linen closet that held blankets etc we dont ever touch. The toys in Miss O and Mr A's room Left them the toys in the living room to have for playing ;P Miss C's books are getting packed away. All my office stuff, and books are packed. Luckly for us the majority of the stuff from the first move is still packed away in boxes sitting in the guest bathroom so easy peasy moving that.

Its just the rooms and living room etc etc. I can get it all done in 2 weeks right?

Hardest Decision Ever

So it has come to Mr Deputy's and My realization that we can no longer afford the rent we are paying out currently. So its time to move to a smaller less expensive place. Down grade time. With down grading comes alot of changes. We are aiming to be out of here on Oct 2nd. That is if we are approved for a apartment we are looking to apply at tomorrow. Its going to be a small 2 bedroom in a shitty neighborhood. ugh but its whats best so we dont drown with debt and end up homeless. Please Pray for my family that we get approved for this apartment. If we dont i dont know what we are going to do.

One thing i do know is that I am reluctantly going to have to let my oldest daughter go live with my mom. I really dont want to but going from a 3 to a 2 bedroom i can not put 2 kids in one tiny room. I would rather her be at my moms in her own room. Especially when we are struggling how we are.

my only other option is to seperate from my husband and go back to the bay area. Which would work but my kids would miss their father. The crappy Ca economy has finally hit my family hard. LEO's really need a pay raise.

So Now i have less than a month to pack up and get ready for this move. Hopefully we will get approved. *fingers crossed*

On a happier note its exactly ONE month until Mr A  turns 3. Obviously we will not be having a party for him. I do however plan on atleast having a cake and some ice cream and a gift for him on his birthday, His birthday falls on a Tuesday anyway.. poor kid got a middle of the week birthday this year. I kinda feel bad for him not having a party the last 2 years but its not like he knows what a party is yet. So Mr Deputy the kids and probably grandparents will have some cake with him and just enjoy the day. Well actually Mr Deputy works Tuesdays soooo yea. But in ONE month i will officially be the mom to a 9 year old a 5 year old and a 3 year old. Gosh my kids are growing too fast.

I will keep everyone informed about the moving stuff and if you dont see me blogging for a while its because you know we moved and i am waiting to have a connection again.. Peace Love and Happiness.

Goals

Growing up it was always my goal to become a family law attorney. As i got older and the kids started showing up that goal became less and less accomplishable. How could i ever put myself 60-100K { Just a guess } in debt with a baby then 2 babies then 3 babies, a husband and two steps?

Shortly after Miss O was born and we started trying for Mr A i was spending alot of time in L&D with the miscarriages etc and i decided to make it a goal to become a L&D/Nicu nurse. This Goal seems alot more accomplishable. But i put it off. It was always one thing or another on why i didnt start. Miss C was in school i didnt think it was fair for me to start school when she would need my help. My oldest Step started school when he was living with us so i had 2 in school that would need my help and i had 2 toddlers { Miss O and the baby step} and then Mr A to take care of plus trying to fit school around Mr Deputy's schedule it just wasnt happening. Not to mention that the $$ just wasnt there. Some say well look into Finacial Aid and I did. Mr Deputy makes just enough to take us out of that able to help area.

So i would have to fork over tuition, unit costs, books etc by our selves. So here i sit a full 3 years later bored in the house all the time and REALLY wanting a career. Soon enough Mr A will be in school and then what will i have?  More sitting at home doing nothing until its time to taxi my kids around? What will i fall back on if {GOD FORBID}something Terrible happens to Mr Deputy at work? How will i survive? and support my children and myself?

The more i think about it the more i just want to start the process of becoming a L&D nurse. Ive been doing some researching. Its hard to get into nursing school right now. But maybe that would change once i got all my general education classes out of the way..... atleast i am hoping. I need to do this, I WANT this I WILL ACCOMPLISH this goal!

Common Courtesy

Ya know what really and i mean REALLY irks the crap outta me? When someone hits your car in the parking lot and doesnt have the decentcy { is that even how its spelt? } to leave a note with a number or anything. I have a HUGE and I mean HUGE dent in my damn bumper from someone backing into it in the parking lot of Target. How hard is it to leave a note... Atleast say SORRY.

The one time i did this in the parking lot when i was pregnant with Miss O I left a note on the windsheild and said

To Whom It May Concern,

I accidently bumped into your car. I didnt see any damage when i got out to look, I am sorry if you see any damage please call me at 555-1212

Again i appologize

Sincerely

XXXXXX

I mean to me its just common courtesy to do so. What the heck is wrong with people these days. I mean jeeeeze

Book Review & a new look!

Lets start with the fantastic new look! Up in the upper left corner of our site you now have navigation links to return to the Home Page, See our Twitter page, See our Blog Roll { Blogs we love to read } and Contact Us { We will allow you to email us! }

Ok now onto the reason of this entry:

I just got done reading The Weight Of Silence By Heather Gudenkauf. This is Heathers first Novel and I might say a excellent Novel at that. If it werent for the kids i would have had it finished on the first day. Sadly they never let me read through a whole book at one sitting let alone two or three...lol But Last night I finished it at 2am. Yes 2am and i am tired today but i just couldnt wait to see how the whole story played out.

It was a great book and i loved how each chapter was from a different characters perspective! And i must say the whole time i was reading it I thought i had the "bad" guy known to me. I thought i knew who was the cause of  plot. Until i got to the end and was completely surprised.

I recommend reading Heather Gudenkaufs first Novel The Weight of Silence.  Has to be the best $$ i spent on a book since Twilight and all my Vamp facination :)

Selective Hearing?

I really don't know Mr Deputy passes his annual hearing exam with his department. I have to repeat myself 20 million times. Of course we know that its selective hearing with him. He only wants to hear what he wants or what benefits him. :)

Today has been a completely LAZY day. I actually got to sleep in though and it was nice although because of it i am dealing with a nice fat headache.

We are looking more activitly into moving by November 1st. Closer to Mr Deputy's work but still far enough away that no one would follow him home and it potentially cause harm to the kidlets and myself. Its amazing that just about 20-30 minutes north of us how much LESS people are spending on rent etc. our rent down here is HIGH. so high that its just not allowing us decent breathing room with 5 kids to support, utilities, food and 2 car payments. So high ho high ho up farther north we go.

I really hate to transfer the girls mid year but you have to do what you have to do right? Saturday we are going to look at a house about 30 minutes from here, closer to Mr Deputys work, Closer to my friends so thats a + + in my book. Hopefully we get this place. I am going to lightly pack up things we dont use on a reg basis just to prepare. If we do get it i want the move to go quickly and smoothly.

I am also looking into getting a parttime job. just alittle something to cover the odd weeks for food and gas. Its hard though especially since i havent worked outside the home in over 5 years now. So its like i have no experience what so ever. Which in this economy pretty much means that there is NO JOBS that pay good. But at this point if i have to take a job working at McDonalds or Taco Bell for now so be it. Money is money right?

Alright back to my excellent book! Almost done so it will be review time here soon!

Field Trips Galore

The girls have field trips galore this month. Miss C is going to the IMAX theater to see Wild California, and Miss O has a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Neither of which i won the drawing for to be a chaperone :( So I am paying the extra $$ for a class picture at the pumpkin patch of Miss O's class. So i just shelled out $35 for 2 field trips at the end of this month before the girls go off track and $20 for Miss C's trip to the ballet with her class this summer. Joy Joy.. Last year the Pumpkin patch trip was only $8. Now its $15.. JEEEEEZE.

Worth it though. I dont want the girls to miss out on school stuff.... and they wont so long as i can help it. tomorrow Mr Deputy and Mr A and I are going to look at a new place to live. I really hate moving the girls in the middle of the school  year but if this turns out to be worth it then we need to do what we need to do to save some $$ on rent. This great state of CA is sucking us dry. I wish we could move out of the state but Mr Deputy would loose his retirement and have to start all the way over. Eh whats 20 more years in this state until he retires...LOL

The kids are in bed, I just got done watching Sons of Anarchy.. and WOW i am speechless on how they ended tonights episode. Im going to leave it at that too... No spoilers from me :) So now its time to Make lunches for the girls and do some laundry take a shower and hit the hay :)

Happy Early Hump Day!

12 hours of sleep

Last night i got 12 hours of sleep. The kids all went to bed at 6:45 { I know early but trouble was in the air } and were out by 7:30-8pm So laid on the couch to watch a show and the next thing i remember was waking at 1:30am and going to bed. I got alittle less than 12 hours since i had toleave at 7:55am to take the girls to school.

Im still exhausted and dont feel well though. Idk if its allergies or I am getting another Cold. SUCKS. Today One of my shows comes back on. Sons of Anarchy  Only problem is that its on at 10pm and i just have a feeling i am not going to make it...lol

Im not sure if i can watch episodes online either.. I guess i will have to look. So The girls are at school and its just the boy and I. I have One errand to run today and thats it. Just to get photos off in the mail for my dad so he can have them.

Miss C has sylvan today its one of her makeup days when she was sick the week before last. which is going to make my afternoon hectic... JOY. well not really hectic just busy. I mean as soon as i get home and get comfy its time to load the kids up and drive back across town...lol

Working on the Family tree still, its a slow process. Especially finding all the birth and death dates, events etc. Its all going to be worth it in the end.. I just know it is.

So Mr Deputy made it through Labor Day weekend without any incidences.. Just a shit load of reports to do before he goes on days off. Which start tomorrow...lol :P and he has court tomorrow. Yesterday was a OT holiday pay day.. which means 12 hours of time and a half..Although taxes will LOVE it more than we get to see it.

Well anyway, Im off to clean the kitchen and plan my dinner out. Something with Chicken.. dont know what yet though. Have a happy tuesday everyone.

Its Monday, Its Labor Day and this is post 160

Well its officially Labor Day. The girls have the day off school like most of the country. Of course Mr Deputy doesnt have it off so we cant really do any "family" activities that involved him. He will spend Labor DAY asleep and work Labor Night..haha. So its like 1 am and i cant sleep for the life of me. So i cleaned the kitchen and scrubbed the entry way door. Its too late to Vaccum without waking up Mr A and Miss O.

Miss C is still with my mom she will be home I am guessing around dinner tonight. So i am just going to spend the day cleaning and organizing and i have to grocery shop and get the girls ready for the school week. I will tell you that one day of not keeping up on everything {Yesterday} and Its a freaking mess. Day behind on dishes and laundry. YIKES.

Yea really fun way of spending the holiday...lol

My Insomnia is SOOOOOOO bad tonight. Ive tried laying down 3 times and have been un sucessful. I think its just a mixture of being overly tired from yesterday still and a tad worried about Mr Deputy out there with his back up being so far away from him. and the fact that i am a natural Night Owl.

So here i sit watching some show called Dead Like Me... weird.. beyond weird..lol, but hey cant complain. 500 damn channels and not a thing to watch especially this late or well early depending on how you look at it. I got a new book i could go lay down and crack open.  I just recently finished "No One You Know" by Michelle Richmond. It took me a little while to finish it. Not because it was slow or boring but because its soo packed with information the kids wouldnt allow me the concentration it required from me. So i stayed up late on Thursday and finished it. Excellent read. Michelle Richmond is becoming one of my favorite Authors to read.

I picked up "The Weight of Silence" By Heather Gudenkauf today while we were at target killing time. Reading the Back of it, it looks like one of the many books ive enjoyed filled with suspense but always ending on a happy note. Ive never read a book by Heather Gudenkauf. I think I will start it tomorrow night. I also have another Vampire series waiting for me to start it. Its Called Vampire Kisses the Begining. I dont know who the Author is off the top of my head though..... I cant remember.

Hope everyone has a happy holiday and had a fantastic weekend. Cheers!

Labor Day Safety

Mr Deputy has to work all weekend. So far tonight and last night have been super busy for him which i dont mind it helps his night pass quicker. But it worries me. Especially when they are under staffed and he calls me on the way to a call for people shooting guns and has no back up. If something were to happen to them how long would it take them to make it to where ever in the county he is?

Luckily he was fine and it was just some hunters, but still. I dont want "that" knock on the door or call on the phone. I sent him a text checking in. All is fine so far. He told me he is just stock piling reports.. Thats how busy it is, He has a stack of reports he has to get done now... Dispatch is keeping him busy so i just let him know that i love him and to stay safe.

Thats all any Police Wife can do right?

To all my fellow PW's out there I wish all your DH's a SAFE Holiday Weekend.

Family is Mucho Importante :p

Today the Miss C, Miss O and Mr A and I went down to SJ to visit my dad. While we were there We got to see My Aunt L, Uncle D, Uncle M and Grandma J.

{ let me stop here and tell you why i dont use full names for my family on my blog: Its a privacy thing. I decided long ago that its better to not have our families names out there. For safety sake}

Ok so we left about 10 am and drove the 2.5 hours to SJ, It was a pretty boring drive. But Mr A LOVED looking at all the cows. Next time i will make sure that we leave earlier so im not getting home at 10:30pm.
<--- Miss C and My Dad.

This is my aunt L and Miss C while they were playing with the frisbee. They had alot of fun today. got spoiled with soda and Candy. two things they dont get alot of at home. My dad is such a GREAT grandfather. he really loves these kids and they love him.

It makes me truly happy to know that my children have taken to my dad easily. I really thought they wouldnt. although it takes a while for them to warm up completely especially Mr A. In the end they are all over My dad...lol

<---- This is my dad... My old biker dad. :)

My girls and Aunt L, they REALLY loved her. Thought she was soo much fun. Now i see where i get my free and crazy side.. it all comes from my Aunt L...lol
