So here it is 4:18 AM on Tuesday morning and I should be asleep but I am not. Instead I am wide awake cleaning the house, catching up on laundry {
my most dreaded chore} watching alittle Tv and blogging. I have a cup of coffee in hand because I know that come 8am I will be tired and dragging and the kids will be up Mr Deputy will be home and I will have to keep going. Luckily tonight is our friday. YES its our friday because his days off are our days off. They are our family time and luckily this week is our LONG weekend Mr Deputy doesnt go back to work till Sunday night :)
One would think YAY time to relax and enjoy things but really we will be busy shopping for Miss M's birthday, Finishing the cake {Im scared haha} Driving up to get the kids, Hosting a party with our family dun dun dun which means having my MIL in my house {we dont have the best track record} and possibly Mr Deputy's Ex wife the kids mother. She should be here to show the kids that we can come together in a peaceful enviroment to celebrate their birthdays together. I have to call her this morning and invite her. After much stubborness Mr Deputy agreed with me. I cant blame him for wanting to be selfish and not share when its our time with them but She is their mom and since they wont be with her on Miss M's birthday I feel its only fair to invite her down here to enjoy the day with us.
So Since Miss M's Cake is Purple and white with polka dots and stars I am going to get some white and purple streamers to put up with some W&P balloons. We are definately on a budget but I will make it as nice as possible. My only problem is I really dont know if I have enough seating. I have 2 couches so thats 5 people, 4 dining chairs so thats seating for 9 oh plus the computer chair so 10. I guess the kids will be running around enough it wont be a problem really :)
My blog will be getting a new semi permaent look here soon. Just until I get a 100% custom blog designed around our blog tittle. So one will be going up shortly then I will have a nother one within a few months. The one in a few months will be the new permanent look for The Family Behind His Badge :) Super excited.
Mr Deputy's Job is still fighting with them over Furlows and pay cuts, shorter shifts and lay offs. I tend to just wait until he brings it up because it just stresses me out. So why Stress myself out before hand. Its just hard in California to stay on top when the goverment seems to want to see you fail. We were talking about his retirement the other night. He is at 12 years now and to get his full retirement he has to retire at 30 years. So I was like I wonder how old the kids will be when that comes. So Miss C will be 28 {my god thats a year younger than I am now} Mr W will be 26, Miss O will be 24, Miss M will be 23 and Mr A will be 22. Its hard to even imagine my children being that old.
That means I will be 47 years old and Mr Deputy will be 52 years old. We talked about traveling around in a Rv once he retires and just enjoying 'Us' time. Something we dont ever get with the kids being young. Its hard to believe that in 3 months we will have been together 6 years already and married for 5 of those years. I never thought we would make it. People were right when they said that the first 3 years are the hardest in a marriage. We fought fought fought. As bad as it is to say I think that Mr Deputy's partners death bonded us together and made us closer as a couple and as a family. We no longer took forgranted what we have together, we no longer blow off family time. Though it would be nice to have some couple time we appreciate being with our children for the little everyday things. And the moments we pass each other in the house and steal a tickle or a kiss are the perfect moments for us.
Lastnight I enrolled Miss O into a Pre-Ballet class through the city. its a 4 week course that meets once a week for 45 minutes and explores the world of dance. I had to put her in this instead of ballet because she isnt 6 years old yet so we had to go this route. Even though I started my search for Art classes, I thought Heck its only a month lets see how she likes it. Its definately cheaper than going the Gymnastics route for right now. After Mr A turns 4 I want to put him in Tball or something like that. He needs activity. He has too much energy and not enough activity to burn it off.
Well I guess I will end my rambling for now. Mr Deputy will be home in a hour, time for me to shower. {hey that rhymed...lol} and enjoy the hour with him before the munchkins awake and a new day of running around begins. Happy Tuesday :)
